The comedic actor, who will most certainly be remembered for his roles in "Airplane!" and "The Naked Gun", passed away at a hospital near his Florida home in the afternoon of November 28th reportedly from complications of pneumonia at the age of 84. Reports say that the Saskatchewan native was surrounded by his wife, Barbaree Earl Nielsen, and friends when he died in his sleep after being in the hospital for almost two weeks. At the time of his death, after working in the industry for six decades, Nielsen was lending his voice to the animation "The Waterman Movie". Nielsen leaves behind wife Barbaree and two daughters Maura Nielsen Kaplan and Thea Nielsen Disney, born with his second wife. Fort Lauderdale, FL. 11/29/10.
