While Victoria Lott’s biological name may not be Pixie, her mother called her Pixie as a young baby, and she has almost always been called that. It was therefore a natural idea to take that name and to use it as her stage name. Pixie Lott was born in London. When she was eleven years old she was awarded a scholarship to go to the Italia Conti Academy of Theater Arts, which changed a great deal of things for the family.


By the time she was thirteen she was acting in London’s West End, and she continued to act as she aged. By the time she was fifteen she was signed with L.A. Reid’s Island Def Jam Music Group, only to later move on with Sony Music Publishing. In 2009 she released her first single, “Mama Do”, which become extremely popular very quickly, and spent eleven weeks in the top forty.
