According to the reports, the striker, who is now a member of the New York Red Bulls, spent months looking for a downtown apartment and settled on a triplex in the trendy area of the city. Henry was the first person who viewed the listing and, under his arrangement with sellers, bought the apartment in two closed transactions, paying for two floors in a transaction that closed with a payment of $9 million. An additional $5.85 million has been placed in an escrow account to be paid when a tenant on the building's remaining third floor moves out, which is expected in the near future.
