View All Images- London. UK. Singer George Michael arrives at his North London Home driving his own car. The singer, who has just announced a new UK tour with his own songs for the first time in 18 yrs, is about to register his partnership with boyfriend Kenny Goss. George recently appeared on the UK TV chat show 'PARKINSON' to talk about the bad press he has received of late. He chatted about the newspaper reports regarding his alleged depressed state, drug and drink problems and being found slumped over his car steering wheel. It had been reported that he had been on drugs but George stated that he had simply nodded off at a set of traffic lights. There were stories that he was interrogated by Police last week after causing a three car pile-up and leaving the scene hastily. Thetruth, said George, was that there had been a simple knock-on effect after he had hit a parked car trying to pull out of a space and that he did go through the correct proceedures before leaving the scene. The former WHAM star looked slim and healthy on TV and he told presenter Michael Parkinson that his was the only UK chat show he has appeared on in the last few years, joking 'You're like my counsellor'. 22 April 2006 Fernando Garcia/Landmark Media
