The couple had been sentenced to to five years for mangslaughter in 2005 for killing their three year old foster son -Christian Blewitt - in 2003. The Gay's were planning to adopt Christian and his 2 brothers. High levels of salt were found in his Christian's body and he died four days after collapsing at their home Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
