He was there to sign copies of a book about Prince Rupert, a nephew of King Charles I of England who fought against Oliver Cromwell in the civil war during the 1640s. Born originally in the Germany, Rupert was a very able military leader of the royalist cause but was defeated in the end. He later returned to England after the restoration of King Charles II and then had a career as an admiral , scientist and died in 1682. 14th June 2007. Can Nguyen/Landmark Media.
