It now contains 88 works by over 300 artists to tell the story of modern art in the last 100 years. The exhibition space has been enlarged by 60% with a new public viewing terrace. The venue will now also include live performances and live art. The New Tate Modern cost 260 million funded by central government, the London mayor's office and other sponsors.
