Thousands of pet lovers and their dogs came out for the 10th annual Haute Dog Howl'Oween Parade and costume contest at Livingston Park to raise funds for Operation Santa Paws and Haute Dogs, which provide educational outreach and spay/neuter programs. Over 500 costumed dogs took part in the event, which also included a costume contest for children who led the parade. Thousands of dollars were raised and awards were given in four categories: Best Group, Best Costume on a Dog, Best Float and Best Costume on a Human. The Haute Dog organization is a diverse network of dog owners, lovers, educators, rescuers and supporters that provides educational outreach to inspire a better understainding and appreciation of dogs, dispel damaging myths, encourage responsible ownership practices and offer practical adoption and rescue opportunities.
