View All Images- 04 March 2016 - Joey Martin Feek of the country duo Joey + Rory has died at the age of 40. Feek passed away after battling cancer for much of the last two years. She was originally diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014 and underwent surgery that summer. In June of 2015 she and her husband Rory received the news that her cancer had returned, followed by a devastating diagnosis that the disease had reached Stage 4. Feek subsequently underwent extensive surgery and an aggressive round of chemotherapy and radiation. On Oct. 23 Rory revealed that doctors had given them the news that there was nothing more they could do. The pair made the hard decision to stop treatments.
