One of the most annoying things to singer Shakira is when she is asked how she learned how to speak English so quickly. This singer and songwriter is someone who has been around English her entire life, as her father was born in the United States. Shakira herself was born in Colombia. Parents always like to think that their children are special and intelligent. Shakira proved that she was at a very young age by writing poems before she was even old enough to go to school. Around that same time, at the age of four, her father took her out for dinner one evening where she heard the traditional drum that is used for belly dancers. She immediately hopped up on the table and started dancing.


She realized then that she wanted to be a performer, and she began showing friends at school how to belly dance. When she was young her parents went bankrupt, and she got her first taste of Los Angeles as she was sent there to stay with family while things were being sorted out. She returned home in a short time, but she learned a great deal about how badly some people have it, which is why she’s always been such an amazingly generous person when it comes to her money.


But people who look at Shakira photos aren’t looking at them because of her benevolence, but because of her body and face. There are some people who are just born gifted, and not only was she born gifted, she was also born with a face and body that, as they say, won’t quit.
