Born in London, England, Keira Knightley is the daughter of a playwright and an actor. She got a talent agent when she was only six years old and has been focused on acting ever since she was that young. She got her first big break in 1999 when she was cast as the character Sabe – the decoy for Padme Amidala in the blockbuster Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Two years later she was snatched up by the Disney corporation and began creating movies like the Princess of Thieves, The Hole, and, of course, the Pirates of the Caribbean.
