Lakers basketball star, Kobe Bryant is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. Kobe grew up in Italy and still speaks Italian fluently. During the 2010-11 basketball season, he became the youngest NBA player to reach 26,000 points. Kobe was one of the top three highest paid athletes in the world last year. He and his wife, Vanessa, have two daughters.

 
 
 
 

Rick Springfield turns 62 year old today. Rick was a popular musician in the 1980′s and starred on the ABC soap “General Hospital” for several years. His bio “Late, Late at Night” was released this summer. A documentary, “An Affair of the Heart: The Journey of Rick Springfield and his Devoted Fans” was filmed last year and will premiere next month in California. He is currently fighting a DUI charge.

 
 
 
 Jay Mohr is 41 years old today. The comedian/TV star has been blogging for Bravo TV lately, writing about the “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” He will be appearing in a possibly recurring role on NBC’s “Prime Suspect” this fall. Jay and wife Nikki Cox had their first child together in May, Meredith Daniel Mohr. Jay has another son, Jack, from a previous relationship.
